21世紀 急速なグローバル化が進展
日本に英語が初めて来たのは、1600年頃と言われています。以後、鎖国時代の空白を経て明治維新以後、急速に日本は近代国家へと変貌するべく、必要な産業知識、国際情報を大量に欧米から吸収していきました。その過程で大きな役割を果たしたのが英語です。

従来型のグループレッスン中心の授業の場合、１クラス10名～20名いますので、おのずと1時間のクラスの中で、生徒が話す時間は限られてしまいます。他人の目線を気にされる方は、ほとんど話す機会がありません。学校を運営する側としてもグループレッスンの方が効率的です。ただ、時代の流れはコミュニケーション力重視の時代です。CNE１は、時代の流れ、生徒の要望に合わせて、コミュニケーション力向上に最適なマンツーマンレッスンに特化しました。他人に気にする事なく、担当の講師と徹底的に話す事ができます。分からない点もすぐにその場の講師に聞けます。マンツーマンレッスンは、グループレッスンとは比較にならない程、英語を話す事ができます。
自分が学びたい目的とレベルに合わせて英語を学びたい！

グループレッスン市場の衰退と欧米・日本のマンツーマンレッスンの問題点
日本での英会話教室のマーケットは、ここ数年激変が起きています。グループレッスンの市場マーケットは、年々縮小しています。最大手のグループレッスン主体の語学学校が大型倒産したのは、象徴的です。ただし、マンツーマンマーケットは堅調に伸びているのが下記の表からわかります。（参考）マンツーマンシェアの推移 2006年（12.1%）→2007年（14.3%）→2008年（16%）
この流れは、少し前の学習塾の流れと似ています。従来の塾は、グループ講義でしたが、今では、個別指導の塾が、大きくマーケットを伸ばしてきています。
時代の流れ、顧客の要望に合った学校だけが、生き残るのが、現状です。
マンツーマンレッスンが、顧客の要望に合って伸びているのは、事実ですが、実はここにもおおきな問題点があります。それは、価格の高さです。
大手マンツーマン専門の語学スクールの価格帯は、12か月コース75回レッスン（40分）で、1レッスン単価が、だいたい6,800円ぐらいです。その他の大手語学学校のマンツーマンレッスンの価格を見てもさらに高い価格が表示されています。
この価格帯だと一部の人しか満足なレッスンを受ける事ができません。また、欧米の語学スクールでもマンツーマンレッスンがありますが、価格は非常に高いです。価格表を載せていない学校も多々見受けられます。
CNE1は、この大きな生徒の悩み、問題点を解決する事に取り組みました。
フィリピンでの英語留学のメリット
CNE1が取ったこの大きな問題点の解決策は、日本からもっとも近い英語圏(英語人口世界3番目)のフィリピンで、直営のマンツーマンスタイルの語学学校を作ることです。
なぜ、フィリピンで英語留学？
語学留学費用を大幅に下げる為には、留学先の場所を物価の高い欧米から変える事が必要不可欠でした。そこで、日本から近く物価が安い、英語がよく通じる東南アジア諸国に注目し、実際に経営陣が、現地調査に行きました。調査対象国は、フィリピン、マレーシア、シンガポール、バリ島（インドネシア）、スリランカ、インド、ネパールの7カ国でした。トータル10ケ月間かけて、そこに住んでみて、様々な観点からチェックしました。その結果、最終的に自信を持ってお薦めできる国として、フィリピンを選びました。自分自身が体験して納得しないと生徒様に薦める事ができない性格上、このような時間と費用をかけました。
フィリピンに決めた大きな理由は、3つ。
- フィリピンの物価の安さ。欧米の1/3～1/5。場合によっては1/10の格安です。
フィリピンに来て、驚くのはその物価の安さです。欧米の1/3～1/5。場合によっては1/10です。こちらに初めて来た日本人の口癖が「安い！安い！」です。タクシーの初乗りは、30ペソ（60円）、（※空港からのクーポンタクシーは違います）バスだと近ければ、10～20ペソ（20円～40円）、コーラー20ペソ、（40円）ビール25ペソ（50円）、マッサージ1時間250ペソ（500円）などなど上げればきりがありません。留学先での費用は、大きく分けて、授業料、宿泊費、生活費の3つです。従来の欧米留学では、物価や人件費が高い事もあり、ここの3つの費用を大幅に削減する事はできませんでした。CNE１は、物価や人件費の安い英語圏であるフィリピンに直営の校舎・宿舎・キャンパスを構えていますので、授業料、宿泊費、生活費の3つを大幅に下げる事を可能にしました。従来の留学費用では考えられないぐらいの驚きの低価格を実現しました。 - 日本からもっとも近い英語圏（英語人口世界3位）。航空運賃も安く時差が1時間。
以外に知られていないのが、フィリピン人の英語力の高さです。フィリピンでは、英語とタガログ語が国の公用語になっています。実際、アジア15カ国を訪問して思ったのは、その中で、フィリピンは、１番英語でのコミュニケーション力が高い国だという事です。フィリピンでは、ラジオ、新聞、テレビでも英語が日常で流れていますし、映画館で映画を見ても字幕がありません。学校の授業も英語で行っています。CNE1の母体であるCarthel Science Educational Foundationの授業も英語で行っています。欧米企業がこぞってフィリピンにコールセンターを作っていったのは、理解できます。また、フィリピンは、東南アジアでは、珍しくアメリカ英語を使いますので、アメリカ英語に馴染みが深い日本人にとってはかなり良いでしょう。フィリピンのマニラは、東京からわずか4時間半、大阪からは3時間半という日本からかなり近い場所にありますので、当然、航空料金、燃油チャージ料はその分安いです。時差は、1時間です。さらに関西空港からは、LCC（格安航空会社）のセブパシフィックが週3便運航しており、時々、プロモーション価格で片道航空券990円、4,999円という信じられない超格安価格で航空券を販売しています。通常でも片道航空券を11,000円～15,000円という格安で販売している事が多いので、セブパシフィック航空のHPを頻繁に見る事によって超お得な航空チケットが手に入る事もあります。（セブパシフィック航空は、ホームページから直接チケットを購入します。片道チケットだけを購入する事も可能ですが、入国時に出国チケットが必要ですので注意が必要です） - フィリピン人の温かく、フレンドリーな性格と高いコミュニケーション力が決め手！
語学学校で一番大事なのが、講師です。特にコミュニケーション力向上を目指しているCNE1では、ここを特に重要に考えています。フィリピン人の明るく、フレンドリーで、コミュニケーション力が高い特長は、まさに英語の講師に相応しいと考えます。さらに日本人と同じアジア人であるので、心理的にとても親しみやすく、バイリンガルなので講師は英語を学んでいる生徒の気持ちが良くわかる。使う英語表現も語彙も日本人が理解しやすい表現に合わせてくれます。初めて、英語を習うのはフィリピンでマンツーマンレッスンを受けるのが、最適だと言われる所以です。費用対効果で考えると、フィリピン英語留学は、世界最安値だといわれるのは納得です！
フィリピン人の発音のなまりと治安はどうなの？
発音に関しては、フィリピンは、アメリカ英語ですので、日本人にとっては良いと思います。ただ、ネイティブではないので、当然ながら発音は少しなまりがあります。ただし、CNE１の講師においては、しっかりと教育を受けていますので、綺麗な英語を話しますので、ご安心ください。フィリピンで授業を受けた事がある日本人約40名に聞き取り調査した所、それ程、気になるものではないという回答が比較的多かったです。CNE1では、講師の発音を動画で見られるようにしていますので、一度、ご確認ください。
治安については、十分対策をしていれば問題はありません。CNE1の学校を作る時にもっとも気を使ったのは、ロケーションです。マニラ市内には、学校を作らず、郊外の治安が良いタラック州にあるサン・マニュエル市に作りました。治安はとても良いです。CNE１は、母体となっているCarthel Science Educational Foundation校のキャンパスの中に作られていますので、さらに安全・安心です。学校内には、警備員が24時間体制で警備していますので、まったく問題はありません。

日本で大量に練習する事ができない「英語を話す」事に絞って徹底的にトレーニングするので、時間効率と費用対効果が最大化します。日本でも勉強ができる「聞く」、「読む」、「書く」の比重を下げる事で、英語学習の効率を一気に上げます。英語で話す練習量が多ければ多いほど、上達も早いです。CNE1では何度も何度も声を出して英語を話す練習をします。

コース取得の流れ
まずは、ご自身が英語を学ぶ目的は何なのか決めましょう。ここをしっかり決めるのと決めないのでは、その後の英語習得に大きな差がでてきます。CNE1の主任講師と日本人カウンセラーが、生徒様１人１人の英語習得の目的をヒアリングさせて頂きます。目的が、まだハッキリ決まっていなくても大丈夫です。随時ご相談ください。いっしょに考えていきましょう。
３つの目的別メインコース（日常会話、トラベル会話、ビジネス会話）から１つ自分が学びたいテーマを選んでください。メインコースはマンツーマン専用コースで、各4時間となっています。
その次に必要な方のみ6つの追加プログラムから自分が学びたいプログラムを選んでください。追加プログラムは、マンツーマンコースと少人数グループレッスン（2～5名）の2種類があります。各2時間となっています。追加プログラムは、最大4時間まで追加取得可能です。
2つの無料コースは、少人数グループクラスです。いつでも参加可能です。可能であればどんどん参加しましょう。
- CNE1では、最低限メインコース（4時間）を１つ選んで頂く事になっています。
- メインコースと追加プログラム合わせて、最大8時間まで授業を取る事が可能です。

目的別メインコース紹介 （各4時間）
CNE1のメインコースでは「スピーキング力」を伸ばす為に最適なテキストを選び使用しています。テキストは、多くのイラストが取り入れてあり、会話形式のテキストを多用することで学習者がストレスなく楽しく日常使える口語表現や基礎的な文法を習得できるように設計されています。テキストを使い講師とのペアワークや会話演習を進めていきます。テキストのイラストや対話文を見ながら、会話がしっかりと言えるようになるまで、何度も何度も繰り返し声を出して練習します。繰り返し、繰り返し声に出して英語を話す練習をすることで、頭にパターンをしみこませていきます。
日常会話マンツーマンコース
実際に日常生活で、必要となるコミュニケーションスキルを中心に学びます。メインコースの4時間は、特に、スピーキング力の向上に最も力を入れています。徹底的に声をだして、話す訓練を行います。日常の様々なコミュニケーションの場を想定したテキストを使って学習をしていきます。挨拶、自己紹介、自分の趣味、自分の興味関心、友人との会話、気持ちの伝え方、質問の仕方、感情表現、意思表現、同意、許可、謝罪、電話応対、パーティー、レストラン、食べ物の会話、買い物、美容室等々実際に日常で、必要なシチュエーションごとに学習していきます。日常に必要と思われる単語、熟語の習得も目指します。
トラベル英会話マンツーマンコース
実際に旅行で海外に行った時に必要となるコミュニケーションスキルを中心に学びます。メインコースの4時間は、特に、スピーキング力の向上に最も力を入れています。徹底的に声をだして、話す訓練を行います。空港、タクシー、ホテル、レストランやお店でのやりとりを始め、飛行機、電車、バスの乗り方などをシチュエーションごとに学習していきます。 旅先での自己紹介、道の聞き方、また、迷子になった時、急病になった時、強盗に遭ったときなど万が一のトラブルにあった時の方法も学びます。ロールプレイを取り入れながらの学習となります。旅行に必要と思われる単語、熟語の習得も同時に目指します。教材は、トラベル英会話のテキストを副教材として、インターネットや雑誌等々から実際の旅行に使える表現を学びます。このコースでは特にスピーキングスキルが強化されます。
ビジネス英会話マンツーマンコース
実際にビジネス上で必要なコミニュケーションスキルを中心に学びます。メインコースの4時間は、特に、スピーキング力の向上に最も力を入れています。徹底的に声をだして、話す訓練を行います。電話対応、メールの作成・返信、ビジネスプレゼンテーション、顧客との打ち合わせ、会議、海外出張、面接、英文の履歴書の書き方など現実に則したシチュエーションごとに学習していきます。講師との対話形式やロールプレイを中心に行い、ビジネスに必要な単語、熟語の習得も目指して行きます。また、インターネットや新聞などから最新のビジネス記事を選び、講師とディスカッションしながら必要な語彙、知識を学びます。リーディング・ライティング・リスニング・スピーキングとすべての英語スキルが強化されますが、特にスピーキングスキルを強化します。
追加プログラム紹介 （各2時間）
マンツーマンコース
メインコース（4時間）で取ったコースに、さらに追加して勉強したい方やメインコースとは違ったコースを追加して勉強したい方向けのプログラムです。追加プログラムのマンツーマンコースの内容は、メインコースの内容と同じですが、カスタマイズができますので、ご自身で集中して学びたい所が学べます。

少人数グループコース （2～5名）
CNE1では、5名を最大とする少人数グループコースを設けています。
発音＆リスニング集中プログラム
英語には独特のリズムがあり、強弱をつけて話すことが大切な言語です。このコースは、日本人が苦手とする子音の発音練習、母音の発音練習、短縮形の聴き取り、イントネーション等々を集中的に練習するコースです。発音が良くなるとリスニング力も向上してきます。このクラスは、発音の練習と共に、リスニング力を上げるクラスとなっており、この2点を強化したい生徒様用にプログラムを設計しました。
プレゼンテーション＆ディスカッション集中プログラム （中級以上が対象）
英語でプレゼンテーションをする。英語で議論する。このプログラムは、徹底的に「英語で自分の意見」を言うアウトプットのトレーニングを行います。だから、あなた自身の「考え」や「オリジナリティ」が特に重要になります。
プレゼンテーション
プレゼン技術を向上させるためには、プレゼンの「基礎知識とスキル」を習得し、多くの「練習」と「場数」を踏む事が必要です。その為の練習を徹底的に行います。
このプログラムでは、プレゼンテーションに必要な基礎知識とスキルを、毎日の演習で、繰り返し、繰り返し練習します。毎日の演習を通じて、実践的に使えるプレゼンテーション能力を育成します。「聞き手の立場からの視点」「ストーリーの組み立て方」「効果的なプレゼン資料の作り方」「アイコンタクトやボディーランゲージ」など実践的なスキルと多くのプレゼンの場を提供します。
プロジェクターも用意できます。また、プレゼン風景を録画して、講師からフィードバックも行います。
ディスカッション
自分の考え、意見を英語で正確に伝えられるように徹底的に練習をします。その為には、「テーマについて深く考える」そして「考えの論点を明確にし、正確に自分の考えを伝える」事が重要になります。また、相手の言っている事も正確に理解する力も必要となります。その為の練習を徹底的に行います。
ディスカッション専用テキストの40トピックを読み、それについてクラスメイトと徹底的にディスカッションを行います。
特定のトピックについてのストーリーを読み、その内容を理解することでリーディングの能力も高めます。ディスカッションを通じて自分の考えをうまく相手に伝える能力や表現するスピーキング力も伸ばします。その際は、論点をはっきりする事がとても大切です。ストーリーの内容について、自分はどう考えるのかをしっかりと生徒さん自身に考えていただきます。また、クラスメイトの意見や考えを聞く事で、多様な考え方や意見も学べます。
無料グループコース（1時間）
月曜日から金曜日の15:00～15:50pmの1時間は無料のクラスを開催しています。どなたでも参加できます。月曜日、水曜日、金曜日はインターカルチャルプログラムを開催し、火曜日と木曜日はフリースタイルコースを開催しています。CNE1はマンツーマン中心に授業を行っているので、留学生間やフィリピン人学生達といっしょに学ぶ機会が少ない為、それを無くすように学生間の相互理解促進とアウトプットの練習をする為に作られた特別なコースです。楽しく学べ、しかもうれしい無料コースですので皆様の参加をお待ちしています。毎日この1時間（15:00pm～15:50pm）の間だけは他のクラスを開講しませんのでなるべくすべての生徒様に参加して頂く事をお願いしています。
インターカルチャルプログラム（月曜日、水曜日、金曜日）
フィリピン人学生、講師と留学生が相互理解を深める為に作られたCNE1オリジナルプログラムです。特にお互いの異文化理解を深める事を主眼に授業の構成を組み立てています。日本人の生徒さんは、日本代表として、日本の事を英語で説明し、皆で他の国との比較などディスカッションをしていきます。このプログラムは、ディスカッション、プレゼンテーションなどアウトプットの練習をするためと留学生間の相互理解の促進を目指す為に作られています。
フリースタイルクラス（火曜日、木曜日）
フリースタイルクラスは、アウトプットの練習と留学生間の相互理解を深める為に作られたグループクラスです。フリートーキング、ディスカッション、ゲーム等々、生徒様のリクエストも聞きながら楽しく、学べ、留学生間の絆が深まるようなクラスを目指していきます。
その他の特別コース
イングリッシュキャンプ （1日8時間×1～2か月）
学生が、夏休みなど大型な休みを利用して短期間に集中的に英語を勉強するプログラム。フィリピンの学生達との共同授業もあります。学校で勉強するだけでなく、週末は、自然あふれるフィリピンの観光地で、旅行に出かけ、海で泳ぎ、バーベキュー、社会ボランティア活動などの社会体験型プログラムを導入しており、総合的に異文化体験ができるようにプログラムを作っています。ご希望、興味のある方は、当校へ直接、お問い合わせください。

コース決定の流れ
当校に到着した翌日に、筆記試験と主任講師によるオーラルテストがあります。皆様に合った最適なコースをご提案させて頂く為に、すべての方にテストを受けて頂きます。試験結果を踏まえ、各人のレベルを決定します。その後、日本人カウンセラーによる英語習得の目的、ご要望のヒアリングをさせて頂きます。悩みや不安も含めてお気軽にご相談ください。その後、当校のコースの概要を説明させて頂きます。疑問点等々があれば積極的にお聞きください。その後、皆様の目的とレベルに合った最適なコースの提案とコースが決定します。
レベルのご紹介
CNE1では、筆記試験と主任講師によるオーラルテストの結果により生徒様のレベルを5段階に分けています。目的別マンツーマンコースを設定していますので、基本的にどのレベルの方でも３つのメインコースを取る事が可能ですが、CNE1では、生徒様のレベルに合わせてお薦めしているコースがあります。下記の表の◎は、CNE1がお薦めしているレベル別コースです。試験結果からのレベルと学びたいコースが最適であるのがベストです。例えば、ビギナーレベルの方が、ビジネス会話をいきなり取りますと難しいです。ただ、○でも取得可能にしていますので、当校の日本人カウンセラーとカウンセリングする時にお気軽に相談してください。

I once heard that good teachers just make their students remember what they already know. This thought holds true to what I have experienced here in CNE1. As one of CNE1’s teachers, I have spent a great deal of time practicing this idea. Most people think that if a person can’t speak a certain language, he or she doesn’t know anything about the said language. I found this totally wrong. In learning a foreign language, a lot of factors come into play. Life in CNE1 is extremely fun for me. I love talking and listening to different kinds of people. Everyone is friendly and hospitable. I’ve never thought of teaching English before but because of the help of my cousins I was able to enter in this small community. I thought I wouldn’t love it but as time goes by I started to love the place, the teachers and the students here. In CNE1 we don’t only teach English but also we change our students’ life perspectives in a positive way. Students will love this place because they’ll not only learn English but they’ll also learn how to build their confidence through speaking with teachers and with other people. Actually we have some clubs in our school. We have The Music Club; I’m one of the members of this club. I’m the official drummer of the Music Club, so if you love music come and join us. Second, the Dance Club, Third the Novelistas, Fourth the EOP (English Only Policy) Club, Fifth the Photography Club, Sixth the Activity Club, Seventh the Alcohol Club, Eight The Charity Club. Good day! My name is Angela. I’m 23 years old and a resident of Dapdap Paniqui Tarlac. I graduated with a degree of Bachelor in Elementary Education last April 2009. I am often said to be a crazy teacher but I don’t know the reason why? My hobbies are reading books, using my cellphone, cooking, dancing and singing. Most of my friends told me that I have a talent in singing but I think they’re telling a lie. Currently I am working as a 1 on 1 teacher in CNE1 and I would like to share my experiences in this Institution as well as the information I know about it.
There are many language schools in the Philippines, but I think, CNE1 is one of a kind. One of the reasons is that, it was built in the middle of a farm, which is very convenient for studying. The area is wide enough to accommodate number of students. It has a garden where students can spend their free time, a canteen, where they can eat delicious and nutritious food, a dormitory for students and teachers, a library and well ventilated classrooms. Another reason why CNE1 is unique is because of the cheerful friendly, kind, respective, diligent, understanding, thoughtful and open minded people in it. The teachers don’t only teach how to speak English, but many useful and valuable things too. Aside from being a good and effective teacher, they can also be a good friend, a brother or a sister. CNE1 is not only an institution but a “family” because of the good relationship and affection being shown by everyone to one another.
Working in CNE1 taught me a lot of things. First, I have learned to overcome my shyness. I’ve known different people and their culture. And most of all, my English skills was enhanced.
My experiences in this school will be treasured. I was able to communicate with foreign people and make friends with them. I have shared good and happy memories with my students and I have gained knowledge from them too. Time flies so fast here because I enjoy everything that I do in this place. In my opinion, CNE1 is the best school and workplace for people like me, people who are looking for something different, people who want to experience new things and people who want to meet new friends.
Everyone who wants to learn English as a second language is welcome to study here in CNE1, classes are one-on-one and group. Classes are held inside a room or they can also be outdoors, it depends on the preference of the student. The school is focused more on speaking, so teachers serve as facilitators of the class or discussion. They encourage students to talk more to be able to practice using the English language comfortably. Students can also choose their time schedule between 8:00 A.M and 6:00 PM. One class is 100 minutes long and a student can have a maximum of four classes in one day.
This school also serves as a melting pot of cultures because students here are Japanese, Koreans and Russians and teachers are Filipinos. Students can also learn English naturally by having conversation with a lot of people every day. They can talk about anything, anytime.
